Frequently Asked Questions...
Invitations By Dawn question?
Anyone ever order wedding invitations from Invitations by Dawn and get the inner lined envelopes? There's no seal on them! I ordered them a couple months ago and just now started to put them together when I noticed I can't lick them shut! I have sticker seals but there not strong enough to keep them closed all the way. Did your inner lined envelopes come that way too? The included plain white ones have the licked seal but not the pretty lined ones which I was planning to use.
Britno- So the invitations go in to the inner lined envelope...then inside the plain white sealed ones? Is the lined one sealed inside the plain white one?
CR*P! I get it now! I already address the lined envelopes---now what
Answer:
All wedding invitations come with an inner envelope, which is lined and not sealed for your invitation to go in. You will also place a single piece of tissue, which should have come with your invitations, over the printed area of the invite to ensure that it will not stick to the envelope when it is mailed. On the inner envelope you write the invitee's names only, you do not address this envelope. Now the other envelope which was sent is an outer envelope which you will place the inner envelope in and seal. You address this envelope. It should go in this order while opening your invitation: Outer sealed envelope, inner lined envelope, tissue and invite. I hope this helps, wedding invitations are always confusing to put together
! Congrats!

Create Fun And Fabulous Alphabet Party Invitations
An invitation sets the tone for a party. It says, "Hey, the theme that everyone can expect to find at this party is..." Invitations also create excitement as guests look forward to attending a party. Now, of course, your little 1-year-olds won't experience any of these sensations, but their parents will. They will anxiously look forward to bringing their child to the party. So, let's get start by getting everyone in the Alphabet Birthday Party mood!
GUEST LIST
Consider the size of your home. Be sure you can accommodate everyone you intend on inviting--little ones, parents, siblings, etc. Also, your home may be baby-proof for one child, but make sure it will suffice for several. Above all, insure you will have sufficient help with all the toddlers you plan on inviting.
PARTY PARTICULARS
Be sure your invitations provide all the necessary party particulars. Birthday child's name, age, time party starts and ends, date, location, (directions, if needed), and party theme. Be sure to provide RSVP info, which includes a contact name, phone number, and response date.
SPECIAL PARTY PARTICULARS
Be sure to include any special instructions. For example, you might want everyone to bring a high chair, which would keep all your little guests contained when it comes time to eat. If you're having any water activities, you might tell everyone to bring a bathing suit and towel.
Here's some Alphabet Party invitation ideas to help get your creative juices flowing:
INITIAL INVITATIONS - Cut out of primary-colored card stock, the initials of the birthday child. On one side put all the party details and on the reverse side, decorate the edges with glitter.
ABC STAMP INVITATIONS - Cut 8 1/2" x 11" bright yellow card stock into 2 pieces and fold in half like a book. On front, decorate it with rubber stamped ABC's or stamp out birthday child's name. On the inside put party details.
ABC BLOCK INVITATIONS - To create your "block", use a collapsible white gift box that folds into a square when assembled. Write on one side, "Come Celebrate My 1st Birthday At My Alphabet Party" and then add the party details underneath. Draw a decorative A, B, and C on the other three sides of the box. Add a stenciled graphic on the other two sides or alphabet stickers. Include instructions to the recipient to assemble the box into a block shape.
ABC PARTY INVITATIONS - Cut 8 1/2" x 11" card stock into 4 pieces. Put "Come To My ABC Party" or "Come To My Alphabet Party" on the front. Either use ABC block stickers or cut the blocks from scrapbook papers with an ABC design and glue to the front. Put the party details on back.
ABC PHOTO INVITATIONS - Cut 8 1/2"x 11" card stock into 2 pieces and fold in half. Using decorative scissors, trim edges of photo of your baby dressed in primary colors playing with ABC blocks, so it is slightly smaller than the card stock. Glue photo to front of invitation. Put "You're Invited To My ABC Party!" or "You're Invited To My Alphabet Party!" above the photo. On textured white paper (finished size 4 1/2" x 7 1/2"), either type or handwrite in calligraphy the party details and decorate edges with ABC stickers.
