Spider-Man - Turn Off The Dark On Broadway
“Spider-Man - Turn Off The Dark” is a Broadway play with its own excitement. Written by U2 stars Bono and The Edge, “Spider-Man” is probably the most costly musical in Broadway history. There have been many technological issues with "Spider-Man - Turn off the dark." Some critics have said that the show will likely be a washout.
The info on 'Spider-Man - Turn Off The Dark'
There is a “rock and roll circus drama” going on with “Spider-Man - Turn off the Dark” which is a Broadway musical based off the “Spider-Man” movies and books. Julie Taymor, as the Broadway legend, is directing the show while Bono and The Edge are composing the music. The show includes gigantic LED screens as set pieces, more than 2 dozen flying scenes, and a new villain. Taymor created dozens of new masks for the show as well, building on her success from "The Lion King."
Purpose of 'Spider-Man' delays
”Spider-Man” was designed to be ready in Jan 2010. That was when performances were set for. A producer passed away during the project causing a delay. There were also delays in “Spider-Man” because of cost overruns and safety concerns. The first preview performance already took place. Nov 28 was when it taken place too. Official opening of the "Spider-Man - Turn Off The Dark" play could be Jan. 11 of 2011. The first performance practices led to some injuries. Some of the actors and actresses had this problem. During the preview performance, the show had to be stopped four times to correct technical issues.
Exactly what was paid for 'Spider-Man'
There is a constant fight for the “Spider-Man” play. You will find many things to fight too. Musicals on Broadway have a very difficult time in Jan. Most tourists have already gone home. About $65 million has been spent on “Spider-Man” already. Also, about $1 million each week has to be paid for the show to perform. The producers will have to start selling seats very quickly, lest they need a payday loan no faxing just to keep their production alive. Now “Spider-Man” has become the most expensive show ever done on Broadway. However, the original "Spider-Man" movie cost $35 million more than the $65 million price tag.
