Frequently Asked Questions...
Anyone try the new dremel hot glue gun?
I'm switching from the "Crapsman" cordless 60W and this dremel brand is always great....the features are nice and all too.
I'm just looking for some info on the quality now...price is low and its a new product to me and since there seems to be no rating on it anywhere I'm assuming its a brand new product for Dremel.

Tools For Woodworking
If You start working with wood you'll need some tools. Of course, there is a wide assortment of tools for woodworking, but you do not need all the tools for woodworking that are available. You'll also need some workspace for your equipment and of course building space. If you are a beginner, you can start with small tools, portable power tools and small hand tools.
At the start of a project you will need tools for marking and measuring, you can use a beginning combination square for marking and a beginning tape measure for measuring. Use those to format your project accurately before you begin shaping the wood.
Then you need something to cut the wood with. A circular saw can do acracking job with that, and you can cut well straight with it. For cutting curves you can use a beginning jigsaw.
After you have cut the wood how you wanted it, you have to shape the wood. The most simple tool for this is a simplest hand plainer. This can make charters, low-angle cuts to soften the edges, it can also smooth the edges and smooth surfaces. Another handy power tool for woodworking is a wood router. A router can take an assortment of bits in its chunk and these can make moldings trim bits and there are straight bits for straight cuts to make joints in wood.
After shaping the wood you'll need to drill holes in some of the wooden pieces that you are using for your project and the easiest way to do this is to use a cordless drill. Also a cordless drill can have a variety of bits in its chunk.
Of course, you also want to smoothen the wood. This can be done by hand with a sanding block or a random orbit sander.
the last thing to do is to assemble your project. When you do this with glue you need some good, strong clamps and those come a variety of styles and you use them to hold pieces together while the glue dries.
These tools just mentioned are the basic tools for woodworking. But eventually, you can upgrade to woodworking machinery. They offer more power and precision to make your woodworking a little, but more efficient and enjoyable. Some of these machines are: a table saw, a drill press, a plainer, a band saw and a jointer.
The next thing you'll need is a bit of wall space for storage of tools. And the last thing you need is some kind of solid work surface, something like a wooden work bench. And it will be useful to have a vice attached to it that is designed to hold wooden pieces. Because it won't dent or scratch your wooden pieces when you put pressure on it.
