How to repair a stain on a leather couch due to a glue gun?
My brother was making a project for school and let his hand slip and applied some hot glue from his glue gun right onto our $3,000 couch. When the glue was taken off, it left an orange-ish stain on the couch, about the size of a dime. Our mom was simply heart broken when she found out, partially because of the cost and partially because she spent days and days searching for the right couch.
Anyone know how to repair the mark?
Answer:
leather shops have all the matching stains you can imagine, i re-stained an old couch (not an antique) a little darker to hide the wear and it looked brand new, they will even help you match the color. you should be able to feather the color by darkest on the bare spot and feather outwards. reseal the whole area or the stain will rub off

How To Use A Glue Gun
Glue Guns for Craft
Hand held glue guns are a great and cheap tool for many home crafts. A basic model will set you back only a few dollars, and glue sticks are equally cheap for multi packs.
Craft glue guns are often much simpler than commercial alternatives, which often come with dual temperature heaters, nozzle protection and maybe even in cordless form. Unless you become a serial glue gunner then a basic cheap model will normally be more than adequate
You can use hot melt glue guns for just about anything, sticking wood, metal, ceramics, plastics, paper, card even cloth and other woven materials. High temperature versions are good for sticking things like wood and metal but you can also get low temperature versions for fine and delicate materials are perfect for things like wreath making, floral craft, fancy dress outfits and collages.
The holiday season is a perfect opportunity for you to use one, make your own Christmas decorations, or customize the ones you already have to create a funky new look for you tree this year!
If you jump to it now you could even make some scary Halloween costumes over the next week or so, glue guns are great for attaching scary spiders and creepy insects to your trick or treating costume.
There are also many different colors of glue now available, even glittery sparkling varieties for those extra special projects!
If you are planning on using a glue gun for craft work then please make sure you work safely, glue guns do get very hot, even the low temperature ones, and can easily burn if you touch the nozzle. It goes without saying that if you are using a glue gun around children be extra careful and make sure they understand that the gun can be dangerous.
